Ability to design, manage, and facilitate learning experiences incorporating technologies that are responsive to the diverse needs of learners, learning styles and the special needs of all students (e.g., assistive technologies for students with special needs)
AT (Assistive Technology) is any device or service that helps a student with a disability to meet his or her individualized education program (IEP) goals and to participate in the general education setting to the greatest possible extent. The students that I worked with did not have physical disabilities. Some of them struggle academically. The only accommodations I used were giving them more time to complete the assignment, closely monitoring them as they worked, and being available to assist them when they needed help. With these accommodations, they were able to complete the assignments successfully.
